The West Fertilizer Plant explosion was an explosion in West, Texas, near Waco, United States. It happened just before 7:50 pm CDT. There was a lot of damage to buildings, including houses. Fourteen people were killed and over 160 injured. The cause of this blast was ammonium nitrate.[2] However, the cause of the fire that took place before the explosion is currently unknown.[3]
