Sega CS Research and Development No. 2,[a] often abbreviated as Sega CS2 R&D and known as Sonic Team,[b] is a video game development division of the Japanese company Sega. Sonic Team is best known for the Sonic the Hedgehog series. They are also known for making games such as Nights into Dreams and Phantasy Star Online.
