Series (more information)
There is series 0 - series 11 and all of them needed an iPhone for settings or for setting it up. Older watches (series 1 - 2) required iPhone 5s or later, series 3- 5 usually needed iPhone 6s or later, and modern models/watches such as series 6 - 9, ultra, and SE needed iPhone XS or later with iOS 17/18. Features
The Apple Watch works with Apple Pay, a mobile payment service that allows users to use their Apple Watch to pay for things. It was announced at the same event that the watch was announced. It can control the Apple TV, act as a walkie-talkie, and lets users control the iPhone camera.[4]
